Abstract

Atrial fibrillation (AF) and heart valve disease (HVD) frequently co-occur, creating complex clinical scenarios that challenge diagnosis and management. This review explores the interplay between AF and HVD, examining their pathophysiological connections, diagnostic approaches, and treatment strategies. We discuss how the presence of one condition can exacerbate the other and highlight current research findings on managing these dual diagnoses.
