Abstract

The hemodynamic performance of prosthetic heart valves is critical in determining patient outcomes after valve replacement. This review explores the various factors affecting the hemodynamic performance of both biological and mechanical heart valves, including valve design, patient-specific variables, and clinical outcomes. We summarize recent advances in valve technology and discuss their impact on hemodynamic performance, providing insights into optimizing valve selection and improving patient management.
