Abstract

Aortic valve stenosis (AVS) is a common valve disease characterized by the narrowing of the aortic valve, which can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Hypertension is a prevalent condition that has been suggested to influence the progression of AVS. This article reviews the impact of hypertension on the progression of AVS, examining recent research findings, mechanisms, and clinical implications. We also discuss potential therapeutic strategies aimed at mitigating the adverse effects of hypertension on AVS progression.
